according to the doc, eric doesn't have a staph infection, which is good news. the wound cultures grew Proteus mirabilis, and it is sensitive to the antibiotic levaquin. the doctor says he wants to give antibiotics for a few more days, and then will likely send eric home with oral antibiotics.

I hope he gets better soon. And the wound looks better than it was a weeks ago =)
